During Business Hours

No matter what type of claim you are reporting (auto, property or glass); your first step during normal business hours is to contact your independent insurance broker. Your broker is there to serve you and will look after all the details of reporting your claim for you.

Outside Business Hours

Don't worry if your emergency happens outside normal business hours. You can call The Economical Insurance Group's 24-hour emergency claims service to report your claim directly. We'll walk you through each step of the process and make it easy for you to report your claim.

Quebec

If you live in Quebec, you can report your claim directly to one of our claims agents during regular business hours at 1-888-875-8088.

If your emergency happens outside normal business hours or outside the province of Quebec, call The Centre de service de l'indemnisation 24-hour emergency claims service to report your claim. Friendly, knowledgeable customer service representatives will make it easy for you to report your claim.

What Happens Next?

Within 24 hours of reporting your claim, one of our experienced claims service representatives will contact you to:

  • Ensure we have the details of your claim
  • Make arrangements for a replacement vehicle, if appropriate
  • Arrange a place for you to stay in case of a residential loss
  • Explain the claims process and your insurance coverage
  • Answer any questions you may have
