Student Programs

Not all learning can be done in the classroom. The Group's co-operative education and summer student programs offer students the opportunity to:

• Apply the knowledge learned in school to real-life work situations
• Build a network of business contacts
• Earn money to pay for tuition
• Work with experienced people
• Find out what a profession is like before making a long-term commitment
• Experience a professional business environment

Co-operative Education Programs

The co-operative education program offers college and university students a hands-on learning environment that gives them a competitive advantage when they graduate. We offer co-op opportunities in various departments, including:

• Actuarial Services
• Commercial Insurance
• Personal Insurance
• Information Technology Services
• Sales and Marketing

Students must be enrolled in a recognized co-operative education program at a post-secondary institution to qualify for participation in our program. Check the co-op job postings at your college or university for available positions.

Summer Students

Each year The Group hires summer students to assist with specific projects, eliminate backlogs and maintain service standards during peak vacation periods. Positions are often available in various locations across the country.

To qualify, students must be:

• Completing their secondary school education by June of the hiring year
• Available for employment from early May until the last week of August
• Returning to school on a full-time basis in September
